VIRGINIA BEACH — Police here said a juvenile is in the hospital in “serious but stable” condition following a bicycle vs. pickup crash Tuesday afternoon.
Authorities said the juvenile was riding a bike east on Brenneman Trail, crossing over South Plaza Trail against the red light at about 1:07 p.m. At the same time a 1999 Ford F-150 was travelling north on South Plaza Trail and collided with the bicyclist.
The bicyclist was flown by helicopter to Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters in Norfolk with “life-threatening” injuries, police said shortly after the incident.
Police did not immediately release additional information about the crash.
