Go ahead, take a shot before you buy a gun this weekend

VIRGINIA BEACH — Some people like to test drive cars before they buy them, while others might try on a pair of new shoes before walking out of the store.

Some people like to fire a gun before making a purchase.

On Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Colonial Shooting Academy in Virginia Beach will be hosting a free “try before you buy” event with guns from Smith & Wesson.

Gun enthusiasts will be able to handle and shoot a variety of firearms, according to Colonial Shooting’s website, including .22 Long Rifle, 9mm, .38 Special, .380, and .45 ACP.

Those interested in attending will be able to shoot Smith & Wesson guns for free, and and representatives from the gun manufacturer will available to talk about the gun selection, according to Colonial Shooting’s website.
