A Virginia Beach man was sentenced Monday to 8 years in federal prison for receiving images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Virginia.
According to court documents, Stuart Aaron Burgess, 43, was found distributing child pornography via the Internet using peer-to-peer file-sharing software.
After law enforcement seized his computer, a forensic analysis showed Burgess had more than 11,000 images and videos of “minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct,” prosecutors said.
Of those, a significant percentage depicted the abuse of infants and toddlers.
