Missing 71-year-old Virginia Beach man found safe

Monday afternoon update: Clifton Skinner was found safe. The original story is below.

VIRGINIA BEACH — Police are asking for the public’s help locating a missing city man.

Clifton Skinner, 71, was last seen leaving his home in the 1000 block of Norfolk Avenue around 3 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Skinner has partial paralysis, uses a black and red motorized wheelchair and needs daily medication, according to police.

Skinner is described as a black male, around 5-feet-7-inches tall and 200 pounds. He was last seen wearing a yellow shirt, blue hat, dark pants and dark shoes.

Police say Skinner frequents the Oceanfront, Rudee Inlet and the Birdneck Shopping Center.
