Man accused of asking girl under 10 for pornographic photos, court documents state

VIRGINIA BEACH — A Virginia Beach man is accused of asking a young girl he said he was in a relationship with to send him pornographic photographs, according to court documents.

Leedente Brown, 30, was charged with peeping or spying into a home, taking indecent liberties with a child under the age of 15 and two counts of enticing a minor over the age of five to perform in porn, Virginia Beach courts spokeswoman Macie Allen wrote in an email.

The charges came two days after a girl — who is younger than 10 years old — told her family that a man was outside of her window, according to documents filed in Virginia Beach Circuit Court.

Those court documents do not specify how old the girl is.

The girl’s family called the Virginia Beach Police Department, but when officers arrived the man was gone.

The girl’s mother went through her daughter’s phone and found several text messages that were being sent from a person she believed to be an adult male. The girl told police that she’d met the man and exchanged phone numbers with him, and that for several months they chatted via text, Facetime and on online applications, court documents state.

Several times, the man allegedly came to the girl’s bedroom window when he thought her parents were asleep, but he never came inside the house. The girl told police that the reason he came to see her was that they talked about having a sexual relationship, according to court documents.

The girl also said that the man asked her to send him naked pictures, court documents state.

When officers canvassed the area near the girl’s apartment, they stopped Brown but let him go after doing a field interview. With permission from her mother, police went through the girl’s cellphone and got phone numbers, websites, screen names and posts allegedly made by Brown, court documents state.

They also searched Youtube videos. In one of them, they saw Brown’s face and name, according to court documents.

Brown was arrested on Aug 11 and police took two cellphones from him. He admitted to police that he and the girl had a relationship and that he went to her house at night and peeked into her windows. He also admitted to asking her for child pornography, court documents state.

When Brown’s landlord cleared out the room he was renting, he found three more cellphones and told police they had child pornography on them. Police filed a search warrant for the phones and the data pending forensic examination, according to court documents.
