VIRGINIA BEACH — A 47-year-old man is accused in two Friday morning hit-and-run crashes.

Montcler Paris Armonti, of the 2400 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard, was charged with felonious assault and hit and run with personal injury on Friday afternoon. He was denied bond and is being held in the Virginia Beach Correctional Center.

Police believe Armonti will face other charges as well.

The charges stemmed from two hit and run crashes that were both reported around 8:51 a.m.

Police were called to a crash at Art Walker Auto Service, located at 2636 Dean Drive. Police were told that a person driving a stolen car hit an employee in the parking lot and fled the scene in the car. Two people were injured, according to the Virginia Beach Police Department.

At the same time as the first call, 911 dispatchers were called to another location more than two miles away from the auto shop. Another person said a crash happened, this time in the 3500 block of Hilber Street, and the driver fled on foot, police said.
