The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is asking for public assistance in identifying a man they believe stole three televisions from the Tabb Walmart.

Police believe one man is responsible for two separate thefts at the Walmart, located at 2601 George Washington Memorial Highway, on May 20 and June 4, according to a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office news release.

On May 20, police say the man took a 55-inch television and a surround system and exited the store through the emergency fire exit.

The man dropped the sound system while “fleeing from employees,” and got into a white 2014-2016 Hyundia Elantra sedan with Virginia tags, the release said.

Two weeks later on June 4, the man came back to the Walmart and took two 32-inch televisions, the release said.

He exited through the same emergency door and got into the same vehicle, police said.

Police believe the man is between 35 and 45 years old, 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall and 190 to 210 pounds.

Anyone who can help identify this person may call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP or the FB TIP LINE at 757-890-4999. Refer to report number 1701783.
