James City County Police are seeking two men they believe attempted to break into a house last week.

Police responded to the 5100 block of Rolling Reach around 4:54 a.m. June 8 for a report of an attempted burglary, according to a James City County news release.

Police department spokeswoman Stephanie Williams said one of the home’s residents, who was not home at the time, was watching the surveillance system when they saw two men attempting to break into the house.

The resident then called the police, Williams said.

The cameras captured images of two men carrying backpacks and wearing baseball caps trying to gain entry, the release said.

Neither man was able to break into the home, Williams added.
