Bloomberg Businessweek has ranked The College of William and Mary’s Mason School of Business Undergraduate Business Program best in the nation for marketing as part of the 2013 Best Undergraduate Business Schools ranking.
As part of the ranking, Bloomberg reported marketing students at William and Mary have a wide variety of classes to choose from that are both old and new. New classes include “Creativity and Innovation” and “Sustainability Inspired Design,” both of which are taught in the Design Studio — a classroom with open space with moveable whiteboards.
“Sustainability Inspired Design” and Professor Michael Luchs also won the Page Prize for Sustainability Issues in Business from the University of South Carolina’s Moore School in 2012.
“This ranking recognizes the talent and hard work of our faculty and students and confirms that we are building something truly special here in Miller Hall,” said Mason School of Business Dean Lawrence Pulley in a news release. “Our new Design Studio, our innovative teaching in marketing and elsewhere, and the enriching experiences we provide students all enhance the education and preparation our students receive. And we would agree that it is second to none.”
Businessweek also ranked the Undergraduate Business Program second in the nation for sustainability. The Mason School of Business’ undergraduate program was ranked 27th overall.
