New Town patrons, hear this: you’re about to have another place to grab a sandwich.
The location that formerly housed Quiznos has been sold to a company that intends on opening a Jimmy Johns franchise there, according to a news release from commercial Real Estate firm Cushman & Wakefield Thalhimer, who handled the sale of the suite.
The Quiznos had been in place on Courthouse Street for almost nine years before it closed in February. You can read more about that closure by clicking here.
An exact opening date is unclear.
The Jimmy Johns franchise will fill out the 1,883 square foot space with their first Williamsburg location. The sandwich franchise offers sandwiches in store and by delivery. The condominium was sold for $390,000, according to the release.
Drew Haynie of Cushman & Wakefield|Thalhimer said the new Jimmy Johns will require a retrofit of the entire space. The new owner is currently in the process of getting designs approved.
