James City County Police are investigating after someone used a rifle to shoot power lines near the Windy Hill Trailer Park sometime before April 4.
The shots damaged some insulators, which help to transmit electricity, and caused about $200 in damage, according to Dominion Virginia Power’s report to the James City County Police Department.
The lines appear to have been shot intentionally from some hunting stands on the property, said Maj. Stephen Rubino, a police spokesperson.
