VIRGINIA BEACH — Police on the Southside of Hampton Roads are searching for a man wanted in connection to three murders in both Virginia Beach and Norfolk.
The U.S. Marshals Service stated that Cola Winborne Beale, 30, is a convicted sex offender with a history of possessing firearms. The Service considers him to be armed and dangerous.
Beale stands at 5 feet 9 inches and weighs 240 pounds. He has tattoos on both forearms, including the word, “Geneva,” on his right forearm.
On March 24, Virginia Beach firefighters were called to a home in the 5500 block of Baccalaureate Drive. Firefighters found a deceased victim inside, identified as 31-year-old Czavi’er Hill. It was later determined that Hill died from a gunshot wound. The Virginia Beach Police Department (VBPD) has charged Beale with one count of second-degree murder and one count of arson.
VBPD also charged Beale with the murder of Clifton Baxter, 73, after officers found the victim in a home in the 700 block of Linda Court, also in Virginia Beach.
Norfolk Police have charged Beale with second degree murder in connection to the killing of Downing Mclean, 32, which occurred on Sewells Point Road in Norfolk.
Both police departments say that Beale may be facing more charges.
