HISTORIC TRIANGLE — In-person early voting for the Democratic June Primary races begins Friday, May 2.
The ballots include candidates for the statewide lieutenant governor and attorney general
races. The Republican Party will not hold statewide primaries in June, as its candidates are
uncontested for the party nominations.
The Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP) lists important dates in this year’s election cycle:
- May 2 — First day of early, in-person voting for June primaries
- May 27 — Deadline to register to vote in June primaries (otherwise, must cast a provisional ballot)
- June 6 — Last day to apply for an absentee ballot to be mailed to you for June primaries
- June 14 — Last day of in-person early voting for June primaries
- June 17 — Election Day — June Primaries
- Nov. 4 — Election Day — November General
