This year marks the second anniversary of the Betty White Challenge. The #BettyWhiteChallenge was launched nationwide in Jan. 2022 in recognition of White and her support of animal welfare causes over the years. Pets in-need of a fur-ever home

The Heritage Humane Society has almost 200 adoptable cats, dogs, and small pets hoping to find their forever families. Here are a couple who are eager to no longer be homeless.

Meet Aztec. She is a four-year-old boxer mix who is full of sweetness and love. She has a spunky, playful side and can just as easily be extremely affectionate. She gives kisses at a million miles per hour – just about as fast as her body wiggles. Aztec has been making dog friends at The Heritage Humane Society during playgroups. She loves playing and running around with her furry buddies here. She is friendly and exuberant and is looking for an active family to include her in all their adventures.

Meet Dolly. Hello Dolly! This sweet, older German Sheppard mix has been on the lookout for her new family since October. She has arguably the best ears in town so she should be able to hear them coming. Her favorite past times are walks and playing keep away with the ball. She knows several basic commands and she thinks you can never be too old to learn something new. Dolly is a beautiful soul, full of life and love. Dolly would prefer to be your one and only, so if you’re in the market for a friend for life, Dolly is your gal.
