Providence Classical School held its second annual 1mile Walk in The Light Fun Run and 5k Patriot Perseverance Walk/Run Race on Saturday, March 26 on the trails behind Jamestown High School. The temperatures were cool, ranging in the 40’s, but the excitement and energy kept us warm!
This year we welcomed 174 registrants, a 25% participation increase from last year. Our participants’ ages spanned from 4 years old to 98 years old! Runners had the opportunity to warm up pre-race with Burn Bootcamp Williamsburg’s Jason Maravich, enjoy fruit and health bars from Publix and assorted donuts from Duck Donuts, and raffle to win generously valued gift certificates from Burn Bootcamp Williamsburg, Mega Auto Spa, Menchie’s, and Sno-to-Go.
We closed out the event with top finisher prizes and awarded the following overall top three male and female finishers:
Top Three Male Finishers
- Nicholas Felsman, 15, 19:58
- Donlen Francis, 15, 19:59
