CultureFix Creates New Music Festival for Williamsburg

WILLIAMSBURG— Local non-profit organization, CultureFix, has created a new, two-day festival called Revel at the River, to be held at Chickahominy Riverfront Park.

CultureFix says that the festival will feature an exciting lineup of 20 local and regional artists.

“We’re thrilled to bring together great music and great food for a weekend that truly has something for everyone,” said Steve Rose, founder and president of CultureFix. “This festival is about community, connection, and celebrating live music.”

Friday, April 24, at 6:30 p.m., will kick off the first day of the event with Revolutionary BBQ Brawl and Revel at the River Music Festival. In addition to the chance to meet the the Pitmasters of the Kansas City BBQ Society, there will also be live music by Johnny St. Clair with special guest Randy Davis.

Saturday, April 25, is the first official day of the music festival. The Music Lineup features: Nathan Lienard, Roberta Lea, Lassiter & the Weeds, Akeylah Simone, Hazy Shade Trio, Jason Cale, Billy Joe & Katie Daniel, Adwela & the Uprising, RawBeeTs, Anthony Rosano and the Conqueroos. Food trucks will be on site and will also be offering craft beers, wine, and whiskey available for purchase for attendees over 21. CultureFix also advises attendees to bring a lawn chair.

Sunday, April 26, will have the morning Revolutionary BBQ Brawl Run starting at 9:30 a.m. Later in the day from noon to 7 p.m. the second half of the music festival begins. The artists that will be performing this day are: Troy Breslow, JD3 Band, Zack Salsberry, Bobby Blackhat, Rebecca Porter, Jacob Vanko Band, Cody Christian, Tom Euler Band. Food trucks will be on site again and once more CultureFix says attendees should bring their own lawn chair.

This event is rain or shine and all performances will take place under a large tent.

The pass for Revolutionary BBQ is $55 and the two-day weekend pass for Revel at the River is $30. To purchase tickets or learn more about CultureFix, please visit the official website.
