United Airlines will begin to offer daily nonstop flights from Norfolk to Denver this summer, according to a press release from Norfolk International Airport.

The year-round service will begin on June 8. Flights out of Norfolk will depart at 8 a.m. and arrive in Denver at 10:08 a.m. Flights out of Denver will depart at 5:45 p.m. and arrive in Norfolk at 11:10 p.m.

The flights will be on a 128-seat Airbus A319.

“This new nonstop service provides our local community needed access to Denver and also offers greater west coast and Pacific reach through United’s Denver hub,” Norfolk Airport Authority executive director Robert Bowen said in a statement. “We are gratified that United has selected Norfolk for this service expansion.”

According to the Federal Aviation Administration, Denver was the ninth most in-demand market for Norfolk customers.
