Certain parts of the James City County Recreation Center will be closed next week as crews perform annual maintenance.

The recreation center’s basketball courts, dance studio and racquetball courts will be closed from Monday to Nov. 28 for annual floor refinishing, according to a James City County news release.

The center’s walking track will also be closed, but will reopen Wednesday, the release said.

While the facilities are closed, group fitness classes will be held in the community rooms in the left wing of the center.

The county also warns visitors that there may be a strong odor in the facility during the refinishing process, so those with respiratory issues should plan accordingly, the release said.

Center visitors can also stop by the front desk if they have any questions, the release said.
