This spring high-schoolers in Williamsburg, York and James City counties will get a boost toward ramping up their SATs scores.
Princeton Review is partnering with the Williamsburg Regional Library to host a series of three free SAT prep courses, which will take place at the James City County Library, 7770 Croaker Rd.
The classes will include a proctored SAT exam, a “scores back” information session, and session on test taking strategies, according to a release from the library.
The first session is a full-length program that takes place this Saturday from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. During the session, students will have a chance to get a feel for the working conditions and environment when taking a real SAT exam.
Participants will receive a full personalized score report through the Princeton Review website several weeks after completing the test.
Organizers say seating for this session is limited because of the need to simulate a realistic test taking atmosphere.
The second session taking place on April 22 from 2 to 4 p.m., focuses on explaining the SAT scoring system and testing timeline.
Students who have previously taken a real or practice SAT or PSAT exam either in school, through another organization, or independently are welcome to bring their scores and attend this event.
The final session taking place May 13 from 2 to 4 p.m. is a strategy session and will laser in on some of Princeton Reviews’ most successful test-taking hints, strategies, many of which are only available by purchasing the officials test prep materials or courses.
