It’s only a test.
The College of William & Mary will try out its emergency alert system Wednesday, Jan. 25 at 12:15 p.m., according to a release from the college.
The drill will include messaging notification and a 120-decibel campus-wide siren.
The siren system is located above the Integrated Science Center, William & Mary Law School on South Henry Street and the School of Education Building off Monticello Avenue.
In the event of a real emergency, those who hear the siren should go to www.wm.edu for information and instructions.
Emergency news is also available on the college’s Facebook page and Twitter feed, and on the college’s free mobile app.
