A male juvenile is facing second-degree murder charges in connection with the shooting death of an 18-year-old Virginia Beach woman, police said.
The victim, Sidea Lashae Griffin, arrived at Sentara Princess Anne Hospital around 9:45 p.m. Saturday. Griffin died at the hospital shortly after arriving, according to police.
Police say the suspect is being held in the Virginia Beach Juvenile Detention Center without bond. The name of the suspect has not been released because of his age.
The shooting remains under investigation by the department’s homicide unit.
