Republican Ed Gillespie is launching his campaign for governor with a five-day statewide tour that includes a visit to Virginia Beach Saturday.
The Virginia Beach event is scheduled for 2 p.m. at 4354 Holland Road. Those interested in attending can RSVP from Gillespie’s website.
Prior to running for governor, Gillespie served as the chairman of the Republican National Committee and the Republican Party of Virginia. In 2014, Gillespie ran for the Senate, losing to Sen. Mark Warner by 0.8 percent.
