Chicago, Doobie Brothers to play co-headlining show in Virginia Beach

Chicago and The Doobie Brothers have announced a 2017 North American summer tour that will conclude on July 30 at the Veterans United Home Loans Amphitheater in Virginia Beach.

Together, the two bands have sold more than 150 million records, earned 26 top ten singles, more than 50 certified gold and platinum awards, and a handful of Grammy Awards.

Chicago, a 2016 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, will celebrate its 50th anniversary as a band during the tour. The band has never missed a year of touring since it began in 1967, according to a press release by tour promoter Live Nation.

The Doobie Brothers’ most recent release — 2014’s Southbound —  featured collaborations with Blake Shelton, Zac Brown Band, Brad Paisley and Toby Keith.
