Do you have a vintage baseball cap sitting stray in your basement? Old bobblehead figures in the attic?

If you’ve ever wondered how much your once-beloved sports memorabilia is worth, you can ask an expert about it in an upcoming event in Virginia Beach.

Michael Osacky, an appraiser certified by the National Association of Professional Appraisers, will present a program on the art of collecting vintage sports memorabilia from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 28 at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library. After his presentation, Osacky will provide free, verbal appraisals of audience members’ memorabilia.

Osacky is an active collector of pre-1970’s sports cards and has appraised world championship collections from former Chicago Bulls and New York Yankees athletes.

The program is free and open to the public. Those interested can register online at www.VBgov.com/library-events.
