Welcome to Southside Daily’s weekly look at the top girls soccer teams by record in Virginia Beach, and a peak ahead at what’s next on their schedule.
The Coastal Conference’s competitiveness never seems to disappoint. Our top 5 teams, all from the Coastal field, have strung together a combined winning streak of 28-0-1. Yikes. That incredible run will end next week when they begin beating up on each other.
First Colonial has won its last four games by a combined score of 27-0 as the undefeated Patriots continue to show their goal-scoring prowess and lock-down defense. Their first conference match is Friday against Bayside.

Landstown has reeled off six straight victories, posting four shutouts and outscoring opponents 26-2. The Eagles’ elite defense appears back to form as Landstown prepares to host a streaking Kellam squad Friday for its conference opener.
Tallwood caps non-league play Wednesday against Kempsville after a 3-3 tie on Tuesday versus Princess Anne. The Lions haven’t lost since March 23 and hope their early season success from both ends of the field has primed them for conference play, which they will start at home Tuesday against the explosive Patriots.
Kellam has rolled off six straight wins, including four by shutout, while outscoring its opponents 22-3. Knights midfielder Talia Tapper has rejuvenated an offense that has 15 goals in its last three games after scoring just nine in their first five.
Cox has endured one of the Beach’s tougher non-league schedules but is starting to sizzle at the right time by rattling off five straight wins. The Falcons travel to Ocean Lakes on Friday for a tough conference opener.
