YORK COUNTY — One person was killed and four others were injured Thursday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at Fort Eustis Boulevard and Richneck Road, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to the crash at about 3:10 p.m. Five people were involved.
A 70-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials identified him as Clarence Townes from Hampton. A woman was transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center, while two juveniles were taken to Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters. One was a five-year-old and the other was an infant in critical condition, officials confirmed.
The driver and sole occupant of the second vehicle was transported to Mary Immaculate Hospital with minor, non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation.
