Local Woman Honored as Helicopter Society Engineer of the Year

Anastasia Kozup of Williamsburg has been named the John W. White Engineer of the Year by the Hampton Roads Chapter of the American Helicopter Society, International.

The organization, which has been around for more than 30 years, honored Kozup at its annual Christmas Social and Gift Drive for families at Fort Eustis.

An employee of the U.S. Army Aviation Development Directorate – Aviation Applied Technology Directorate at Fort Eustis, she was chosen for her devoted work on Affordable Turbine Engine technologies.

Newport News resident Ryan Harris was also honored as the 2014 Bob Huston Young Engineer of the Year award.
