Quirks of Art to Donate Percentage of Sales to Local Schools, Charities Through Sunday

quirks of artThrough Sunday, a locally owned art gallery and shop is giving a portion of its proceeds back to the community.

Quirks of Art, which features contemporary art and handcrafts at High Street, will donate 10 percent of purchases to the shopper’s choice of school or registered charity.

The initiative runs through a national program called Shop for Good, making donations in customers’ names to any of 1.5 registered nonprofits in the U.S. Search the list here.

For the store’s preferred organization, Heritage Humane Society, it will increase the contribution to 15 percent of each purchase.

The program, encouraging residents to shop local and independent for the holidays, works online, as well. Shoppers should indicate their choice of beneficiary in the message line.

It is not valid in conjunction with customer rewards, Save30 certificates, or any other sale, discount or promotion.

Quirks of Art is open 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. For more information, visit the store’s website or call 645-4366.
