Eleven acts will perform before a three-judge panel for the second Williamsburg’s Got Talent competition.
Adopting its theme from the popular television show “America’s Got Talent,” this talent competition began in 2012 as a benefit to the Williamsburg Land Conservancy.
The contestants, who are competing for the first-place trophy and cash prizes, will perform at 7 p.m. Saturday at the Kimball Theatre. All eleven acts earned their spot in the final showcase after auditioning earlier this month.
The judges are Everett Collins, a longtime music teacher in the Williamsburg-James City County Schools system; Kathy Hornsby, a longtime arts advocate and wife of Grammy-winning musician Bruce Hornsby; and Sam McDonald, a music writer for the Daily Press.

Emceeing the event is Dick Smith of the Smith-Wade Band, which will also perform at the show along with last year’s Williamsburg’s Got Talent winners, Woody and Mariah Denmon from 2013 Dancing with the Williamsburg Stars, and the Irish Mystique Dancers.
Tickets for the show can be purchased online, at the Kimball Theatre, at any Colonial Williamsburg ticket outlet, or over the phone at 1-800-HISTORY. A VIP ticket costs $100, which includes a 6 p.m. reception at the Trellis and reserved seating. General admission costs $35 for anyone older than 12. Admission for those 12 and under is $25.
