York Notebook: Senior Center Events; Sheriff’s Citizen’s Academy; Roller Skating

yorknotebook2Make sure you sign up for the Sheriff’s Citizen Academy if you’re interested in learning about how deputies from the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office do their job. If the 43-hour commitment that course requires sounds like too much, consider visiting the Yorktown Art Stroll later in the month instead.

If Parks and Recreation sounds appealing, consider applying for appointment to the York County Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.

Those interested in applying for the board should visit the County Administrator’s Office at 224 Ballard St. in Yorktown. Applications can be submitted electronically by clicking here.
