Hometown: Fundraisers for The Arc of Williamsburg and Grove Outreach

Two local businesses, Sweet Frog and American Pride Automotive, are helping to raise funds for two local nonprofits, The Arc of Greater Williamsburg and Grove Christian Outreach Center.

Sweet Frog will be donating a portion of its sales this Thursday evening to The Arc of Greater Williamsburg.

The Arc offers programs that help improve the lives of adults with intellectual disabilities.

When you buy frozen yogurt at Sweet Frog on Thursday between 5 and 10 p.m., tell an employee that you are there to support the Arc and Sweet Frog will donate 10 percent of its sales to the nonprofit.

Sweet Frog is located in New Town next to Regal New Town Cinemas 12.

American Pride Automotive is donating $10 from each state inspection to Grove Christian Outreach Center (GCOC) between now and Feb. 10.

“We are so excited to be partnering in a beyond special way with Charlie Marcotte & American Pride Automotive!” said Deena Walls, assistant director at GCOC.

“You can make a huge difference by doing something you need to do anyway.”

GCOC helps the needy people in the Grove area of James City County by providing food, clothing, household items and more.

American Pride Automotive has three locations: one in Toano, one in Williamsburg and one in Yorktown. Visit the American Pride website to find out which location is closest to you and to get more information.
