Now is the time to register for NetworkWilliamsburg’s one-day nonprofit board training series that will take place on Feb. 22.
The class is customized to meet the needs of busy individuals who are unable to commit to NetworkWilliamsburg’s traditional six-week class. The 6.5 hour class will teach participants about the roles, responsibilities, and rewards of serving on a nonprofit Board. Participants will learn about current trends in philanthropy, financial oversight, board governance, fundraising, and board recruitment and retention.
This class is for individuals new to serving on a nonprofit Board or those currently serving who want to better understand their role as a Board member.
It will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Feb. 22 at Virginia Company Bank in High Street. The cost is $150, with discounts available for Board members of current NetworkWilliamsburg nonprofis.
