The Motion Networking Group is hosting an author event Oct. 18 and it will benefit a local food pantry.
Local author Ray Evans will participate in a welcome reception and a question-and-answer session. Participants with a VIP ticket will receive a signed copy of Evans’ book, “Before the Last All Clear.” In the autobiography, Evans tells the story of leaving his mother during World War II and being forced to live with families who at best regarded him as a nuisance and, at worst, exploited him.
The event requires tickets, which are $25 each for VIPs and $10 for the event only. Of that ticket price, $10 will go to FISH, a local food pantry.
The meet and greet starts at 6:30 p.m. and will continue until 8:30 p.m. Visit the Motion website to buy tickets or get details.
Motion Networking Group is a group of dedicated local business people and entrepreneurs who meet on a weekly basis to share business referrals and to give back to the community through acts of service.
