Lafayette junior Daniel Blankinship, who guided the Rams to a share of the Bay Rivers District crown this season, has been named the Colonial Rivers Conference 25 Pitcher of the Year.
Blankinship posted 1.27 earned run average through 44 innings pitched this season. He finished the season with a 6-1 record, with his only loss of the year coming in the Ram’s final game, a 3-1 loss against New Kent in the conference semifinals.
Joining Blankinship on the all-conference first team were teammates Luc (OF) and Andre Lipcius (Utility) and first baseman Mark Rivera.
Warhill catcher Jordan Hackney was also voted to the first team, while Poquoson’s Chase Pinder was named the conference Player of the Year.
