Where We Live: Virginia Beach ranch home with a front yard fountain

VIRGINIA BEACH — The front yard can be a place for playtime, yard work, kickbacks on the porch and at one Beach home near the Oceanfront, paddle boarding could fit on the list, too.

“It has a beautiful pond in the front yard, which is very unique and not the norm,” realtor Anna Paduhovich said in an interview. “It’s nice for a family to hang out or any kind of entertaining like fishing and paddle boarding.”

This five-bedroom, ranch-style home sits less than a minute from Laskin Road, which is a straight shot to the beach. Local shops and an Italian restaurant are yards away from its backyard.

“It’s a ranch, so it’s got all the bedrooms on one floor,” Paduhovich said. “It’s been professionally decorated, it’s got a beautiful kitchen — a nice ‘cook’s type’ kitchen with all the upgrades.”

Paduhovich said the home’s open-space living area gives it a “flow” great for entertaining guests.

“You can sit out on the front porch in the evening for cocktails, look at the lake or have coffee in the morning looking at it,” Paduhovich.

The homeowners have a relaxed sense about them and are “really cool people,” according to Paduhovich.

“They do a lot of entertaining, so it was a great house for them,” Paduhovich said.

The home also features a formal dining room, two full and two half bathrooms, a fan in the attic, a media room with a fireplace, a master suite with three walk-in closets and a spa-type master bathroom.

Paduhovich said the garage is converted to a room, which could become a “man cave,” workout room or even a kids playroom.

It also features cathedral-style ceilings that give rooms significant height and a security system.

The school district the home is in include Cox High School, Virginia Beach Middle School and Linkhorn Park Elementary School.

“It’s a great school district, so it’s the perfect family home,” Paduhovich said.

This home is currently listed for sale through Rose & Womble Realty.
