YORK COUNTY — With summer break fast approaching, York County Parks and Recreation (YCPR) is prepping its summer activities calendar for the local youth.
One of the more popular programs is YCPR’s Summer Fun Camps. Available for kids who have completed kindergarten through seventh grade, these full-day camps offer a variety of activities and peer engagement all while supervised by qualified camp leaders.
The camps, which are offered at different schools throughout York County, are held Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. starting June 27 through July 28.
For residents seeking an activity for their children on Fridays, York County is also offering its Field Trip Fever program, which takes kids to a fun destination each week between July 1 and July 29.
In addition to these camps, York County is also offering several sports camps including baseball, golf, soccer, tennis and volleyball. For those interested in art, there are classes like studio drawing, fabric, fiber, and general arts programs available. Cost to register varies per program.
The Summer Fun Camps cost $275 for County residents and $425 for nonresidents. Field Trip Fever is an additional $120 for residents and $155 for nonresidents. To learn more about the programs or to register, please visit the Parks and Recreation website.
