WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg Regional Library (WRL) is set to host the “Wings of Fire” Fest to include a special virtual appearance by the series’ author.
“Wings of Fire” is a best selling youth fantasy series created by author Tui T. Sutherland. The series takes readers on fantastical journeys through the imaginary worlds of Pyrrhia and the Lost Continent of Pantala. Throughout the books, readers learn about the different tribes of dragons that hold domain over various corners of Pyrrhia and Pantala as they engage in a bitterly fought war with one another.
The WRL event will feature crafts, games, and activities inspired by Sutherland’s fifteen book series, to include her latest, “The Flames of Hope,” which was released today (to place a hold from the library on this book, please click here). The fest will also include trivia, trying rainforest fruits, and hunting for dragon eggs.
The highlight of the event will be a special virtual question and answer session with Sutherland. Participants can submit a question in advance by clicking here.
‘Wings of Fire’ Fest will take place on Saturday, April 9 at the Williamsburg Library and Stryker Center, located at 412 N. Boundary St., from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m.
