Watermen’s Museum Shuffles Schedule as it Temporarily Closes to the Public

YORKTOWN — In an effort to allow staff to work on projects around the facility, the Watermen’s Museum, 309 Water St., in Yorktown will be closed to the public until April 1.

When the museum does reopen it will feature new exhibits on maritime trade and climate change.

During the closure the museum will continue to host some community events in the mean time.

Here is a list of upcoming events put on by the museum:

  • The monthly Folk Jam will scheduled for Feb. 9 will take place virtually starting at 5:30 p.m. Go to the museum’s Facebook page for more details.
  • The Sea Shanty Sing Along will start at 2 p.m. at the museum on Feb. 20.
  • The Folk Jam for March 9 is set to be in person outside of the museum beginning at 5:30 p.m.
