Marie M. Joyal passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children, on Sunday, August 2, 2026, at the age of 91.
Marie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albert J. Joyal, and her constant companion, Cole her devoted fur-baby.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Marie was raised in a Catholic orphanage until age 18. On January 1, 1958, she married her loving husband, beginning her life as an Army wife and devoted mother of five.
She was a member of St. Bede’s Catholic Church, was a volunteer for the American Red Cross & Meals on Wheels.
Marie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish her memory: her sons, Dennis Joyal and Leo Joyal (Beth Ann); her daughters, Nancy J. Lee (Jeff), Debra Neal (Tommy), and Carol J. Lee (Ronnie); and her bonus daughter, Amy Lemaster. She was deeply loved by her 11 grandchildren: Kiley Joyal, Terrie Stevey, Tara Jenkins, Lindsey Vance, Jamie L. Roberts, Michelle Joyal, Ryan and Brad Joyal, Tiena and Joseph Joyal, and Breona Lee; as well as her 17 great-grandchildren.
Marie’s greatest joy was her children and grandchildren. She was an avid Red Sox fan and loved listening to classic country music.
