Jordan Lawrence Williams, 36, of Richmond, Virginia passed away on August 5, 2026. He was the son of the late Gary C. Williams and Rebecca N. Williams (Whittington).
Jordan was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend whose smile and kindness left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him.
Jordan made friends everywhere he went. He never met a stranger and enjoyed spending time with his friends. Whether it was sitting on a porch in Richmond, cooking together, watching a show, or simply hanging out, he had a way of turning ordinary days into lasting memories.
He was unapologetically himself. From his favorite band T-shirts to the tattoos that always seemed to come with a story, Jordan embraced the things that made him smile and encouraged others to do the same. His sense of humor and his enthusiasm for life made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.
Jordan was thoughtful, funny, and deeply empathetic. He listened more than he talked, remembered the things that mattered to people, and had a way of making others feel heard and understood. He carried a wisdom beyond his years. No matter how much time had passed, seeing Jordan always felt like picking up a conversation that had only been paused.
Jordan joined the Omega Rho Chapter of Pi Lambda Phi. There he formed friendships that remained among the most meaningful relationships of his life. He was a treasured brother who embodied the brotherhood’s ideals of loyalty, friendship, and forming bonds that lasted a lifetime.
Those who knew him will remember his kindness, his unmistakable laugh, his scruffy beard and black-framed glasses, and the countless ordinary moments that have become lifelong memories simply because he was there. The stories Jordan leaves behind will continue to be told for years to come, each one a reminder of the joy, laughter, and friendship he brought to those who knew him.
Jordan will be honored for his last act of compassion, becoming an organ donor and giving the gift of life to seven people and the gift of sight to two.
Jordan was preceded in death by his father, Gary C. Williams; and his grandparents, Gerald Williams, Evelyn Williams and Roy Lee and Ruth Norman.
He is survived by his precious son, Oliver Williams; Oliver’s mother, Patricia Kehoe; his mother, Rebecca Whittington; his brother, Cameron Williams; his step-mother, Patty Williams; his aunts, Beth Norman and Anita Wiles; and several cousins, along with many friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Jordan’s memory to Richmond Behavioral Health Foundation (107 S. 5th St, Richmond, VA 23219) with the hope that these gifts will help others in need.
