Born on December 31, 1940, in Portsmouth, Virginia, June’s life was a testament to love, laughter, and unwavering faith.
June dedicated her professional life to Suntrust Bank as a Consumer Credit Clerk, where she was known for her diligence and kindness, touching the lives of colleagues and customers alike. Her work was not just a career but a reflection of her commitment to serving others with grace and integrity.
Known for her vibrant personality and wit, June brought joy to those around her. She found humor and delight in the little things, often seen sharing laughs at her beloved Bingo nights or crafting beautiful creations with her hands. Her culinary skill was unmatched, as she delighted family and friends with meals made with love. In her leisure, June indulged her curiosity by watching true crime stories and nourished her adventurous spirit by traveling extensively with Charles, her devoted husband of 67 years. Their love was a beacon of strength and loyalty, inspiring all who knew them.
June’s life was deeply rooted in her faith, which guided her as a remarkable wife, loving mother, and extraordinary grandmother. She was a cherished member of her community and a source of wisdom and warmth to all who sought her guidance.
Preceded in death by her parents, Louise and Morris, and her sister Joyce, June leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her beloved husband Charles, adored children Debbie and Kenny, six grandsons, eight great-grandchildren, and her sister Jeannie. Countless extended family members and dear friends will also remember her kindness and generous spirit.
