Joshua D. “Josh” Holt, 53, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on June 30, 2026. He was preceded in death by his father, William “Bill” Holt.
Joshua dedicated his career to the field of civil engineering. His profound commitment to his profession was reflected in the impactful projects he managed and the lasting respect he earned from his colleagues. Outside of his professional endeavors, he was an enthusiastic sportsman, passionately supporting the New York Giants, New York Yankees, Los Angeles Kings, and Alabama Crimson Tide football, as well as enjoying time spent on the golf course.
Above all, Joshua was a deeply devoted husband, father, and son. His memory will be forever cherished by his beloved wife, Breana; his treasured children, Jack and Ella Holt; and his mother, Carol Holt.
A family gathering will be held on Thursday, July 9th from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Altmeyer Funeral Homes-Maestas Chapel located at 1801 Baltic Ave, Virginia Beach. Memorial contributions can be made to Amedisys Hospice.
