Jeremy was born in Norfolk, Virginia, to Jeffrey Atchison and the late Donna Toms and was lovingly supported by his stepmother, Karen Atchison.
Jeremy was the beloved husband of Heather Davenport. For 12 years, they built a life together filled with love, laughter, challenges, triumphs, and countless memories. He was a devoted father to Stoney, Addilynn, and Brandon, whom he loved deeply and was incredibly proud of.
He is survived by his wife, Heather; his children, Stoney, Addilynn, and Brandon; his father, Jeffrey Atchison; his stepmother, Karen Atchison; his grandmother, Nancy; his sister, Jennifer; his step-sisters, Carrie, Stephanie, and Ashley; his brother, Jacob; many beloved aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends whose lives were touched by his presence. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Toms.
Jeremy was a part of the Calz Pizza family from the age of 15. What started as a job became a second home, and over the years he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of coworkers and customers alike. His loyalty, hard work, and larger-than-life personality made him someone people naturally gravitated toward.
Anyone who knew Jeremy knew he could make a room laugh. He loved sitting back, smoking a blunt, listening to music, cracking jokes, and spending time with the people he cared about. He never needed much to be happy—good music, good company, and a reason to laugh were often enough.
Jeremy was a dedicated Baltimore Ravens fan who stood by his team through every season. He had a unique sense of humor and loved comedians such as Rodney Carrington, Stephen Lynch, Bo Burnham, Anthony Jeselnik, and John Mulaney. He appreciated comedy that pushed boundaries and wasn’t afraid to laugh at the things most people wouldn’t. He never missed an opportunity to tell a joke, share a funny story, or make someone smile. His laughter was contagious, and one of the greatest gifts he gave to those around him was the ability to find humor even during difficult times.
At the same time, Jeremy had a sentimental side that many people didn’t always see. Alan Jackson’s Sissy’s Song held a special place in his heart and reflected the deep love he had for the people closest to him. Beneath his jokes and quick wit was a man who cared deeply about his family and friends.
Jeremy was the kind of person who left an impression on everyone he met. He loved fiercely, laughed loudly, and lived life on his own terms. His family and friends will remember his sense of humor, his loyalty, his stubborn streak, his generous heart, and the countless memories he gave them.
The loss of Jeremy leaves a space that can never truly be filled. Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
Forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered.
