LuAnn F. Trumble (Altmeyer Funeral Home)

LuAnn F. Trumble, 90, passed away peacefully April 18, 2026. Born October 27, 1935, in Rochester, Minnesota, she was the daughter of Charles E. Kramer and Ethel (Rogers) Kramer and was raised on the family farm in southeastern Minnesota.

She graduated from Dodge Center High School in 1953 and later moved to Minneapolis to study x-ray technology, where she met her husband, Richard Dwayne “Dick” Trumble. They married in December 1958 and shared nearly 60 years together before his passing in 2018.

LuAnn devoted her life to her family and community. She volunteered for many years at the Wesley Community Service Center in Portsmouth, VA, working with preschool children, and remained active in Methodist churches wherever she lived. As the wife of a school superintendent, she created welcoming homes in many communities and was known for her gracious hospitality and especially her baking.

Wherever LuAnn and Dick lived, they made it a priority to return to Minnesota each year to visit family. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, and cherished time at their home in Snowshoe, WV.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick; her son, Richard Blair Trumble; her parents; and an infant sister. She is survived by her grandchildren, Colton Richard and Clayton Charles.

The family extends sincere thanks to the caring staff at Atlantic Shores in Virginia Beach for their compassion and support.
