Katherine Ann Kaspar, born on November 26, 1939, in Schuyler, Nebraska, passed away peacefully in Newport News, Virginia, on April 5, 2026, at the age of 86.
Katherine graduated from Maxwell High School in Willows, California. Her professional life was spent as a dedicated Production Assistant for television, a role in which she excelled until her retirement. Katherine’s career was marked by her unwavering commitment to excellence and her ability to bring creativity and organization to every project she undertook.
In her personal life, Katherine was known for her artistic talents and culinary skills. She had a passion for photography, capturing the beauty of the world around her through her lens. Her love for cooking brought joy to her family and friends, as she delighted in preparing meals that warmed both the heart and soul.
Katherine was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Blanche and Anton Kaspar, and her dear sister, Sharon Kaspar. She is survived by her cherished children, daughter Kathleen Ward and son Keenan Ward, along with his wife Janet. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren Max Thompson and his wife Toni Conner, Tyler Ward, Mary Henderson and her husband Dane, Katelyn Ward, and Laura Larzelere, and her great-grandchildren Amara Thompson and Desna Thompson. Katherine’s family and friends will forever remember her kindness, warmth, and the love she shared with them.
A Ceremony of Life celebration will be held at a later date to honor Katherine’s memory and celebrate the impact she had on those around her.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the American Heart Association.
Katherine Ann Kaspar will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
