Cynthia Duncan Bohannon, 54, of Shacklefords, VA passed away unexpectedly with her husband, David, and sister, Alicia, by her side.
Cindy cherished her role as a devoted mother and a friend to everyone she met. She found great joy in gardening, feeding her hummingbirds during the summer months, and caring for all wildlife throughout the year. Time spent with her family was especially precious to her, and she took great pleasure in helping others whenever she could. Above all, Cindy deeply loved the Lord and lived her life with a true servant’s heart.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Linda Duncan Harlow. She is survived by her loving husband, David C. Bohannon; their son, “Young” Thomas Bohannon; two stepchildren, Kyle Bohannon (Heather) and Dana Bohannon; her stepfather, Edward Harlow (Dena); siblings, Michael Duncan, Sharon, Alicia Harlow, Janis Scopa (Peter), Jeff Duncan (Renee), Barbara Collins, Bryant Harlow (Melissa), and Chris Harlow; her cousin and best friend, Kim Bassnight; as well as numerous other beloved family members including nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM, Friday, April 17th at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA. A service to celebrate Cindy’s life will be held 2 PM, Saturday, April 18th at the West Point Christian Church, 290 W. Euclid Blvd., West Point, VA 23181.
