Clifton L. Hux, 81, of Yorktown, Virginia passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026 with his daughter, Andrea, by his side. Clifton lived in Newport News, Va for over 50 years before moving to Yorktown with his daughter late last year.
Clifton was a member of the American Legion Post 368 after serving in the U.S. Army Reserve from 1967 – 1971. He retired from Anheuser-Busch in 2000 to enjoy the “lake life” at Lake Gaston, NC, where Clifton and his wife spent most weekends and summers for more than 30 years. He loved spending time on the boat and being surrounded by family and friends.
Clifton was predeceased by his loving wife of 54 years, Mary; his parents and several aunts and uncles. He is survived by his daughter, Andrea Hogge; his son-in-law, Gabe Hogge; his two precious granddaughters, Laycee Hogge and Dr. Marissa Calbert (Elias); his sister, Rosa Milby (Billy); his brothers, Joseph Hux (Candy) and Sam Hux (Karen) and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, April 17, 2026 at Weymouth Funeral Home with visitation to follow in the funeral home chapel.
