Sandra Kay Osgood (Segers), age 79, of Poquoson VA, peacefully went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 3, 2026.
Born in Danielsville, GA, to Merritt W. and Eunice Freeman Segers. Sandra attended Madison County High School and furthered her education in teaching at Asbury University. After graduation, she married Richard Osgood in June 1968. She went on to work for the State of Georgia Health Department in the tuberculosis lab doing research.
Sandra was a very active La Leche League Leader in Georgia and Virginia; educating women on their breastfeeding journey. She also worked as a demo lady at Costco and government commissaries for many years.
In her free time, Sandra loved attending her church and Bible studies. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Poquoson and a devoted member of the United Methodist Women for more than 20 years. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, cooking, taking care of flowering plants, boating and sewing. Sandra loved her family and always enjoyed any reason to get together for holidays, birthdays or any other occasion.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, MaryLynn and her son, Nathan. She is survived by her husband, Richard; her brother, Donald; two sons, Christopher and Daniel; her grandchildren, Ashley, Emma, Ethan, Elora and Esme, and her great-grandchildren, Emily and Trey.
