Barbara Helaine Bosch, born on July 22, 1950, in North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her residence in Virginia Beach, VA, on March 24, 2026, at the age of 75.
Barbara dedicated much of her professional life to the Stamford Symphony Orchestra, where she served as the executive director’s assistant. Her passion for music extended beyond her career, as she was an avid fan of rock and roll and a devoted admirer of BB King. She also cherished classical musical theatre and was a huge Broadway show enthusiast.
Her love for adventure and the outdoors was evident in her fondness for camping and her whimsical affection for unicorns. Barbara’s faith played a significant role in her life; she was an active member of Real Life Church in Virginia Beach and participated in several mission trips to Kenya with her church community. Her commitment to service was further reflected in her involvement with the Girl Scouts and the Young Lives organization in Connecticut.
Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved parents, F. William Gill and Elizabeth Smart, and her brother, Brendan Gill. She leaves behind a loving family who will continue to cherish her memory: her sons, Joseph Ingrao of Clearwater, FL, Michael Ingrao (Kristen) of Clarksville, TN, Julian Bosch (Lauren) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jillian Bosch (Berto Terico) of Stamford, CT. She was a proud grandmother to Derek Ingrao, Michael Ingrao, Catty Terico, and Ryan Ingrao, and eagerly anticipated the arrival of her granddaughter, Lilliana Bosch, who will carry on her legacy.

Barbara’s warmth, kindness, and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
