Manford “Manny” Nicholson Nosay Jr., 74, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on January 20, 2026. Born June 2, 1951, Manny was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend, deeply loved by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Nosay; his sons, Manny Griffin (Maricel) and Peter Nosay (Kristina); step-sons, Chris Appell (Brandi) and Chad Appell (Cory); and his five cherished grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Neal Nosay (Angie), along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Manford Nicholson Nosay Sr., his mother, Joyce Nosay, and his brother, Roger Nosay.
Manny graduated from E. Kellam High School in 1970. He built a long and respected career in commercial heating, cooling, and refrigeration, working for Farm Fresh, operating his own business, Back Bay Mechanical, and later dedicating 17 years of service to the City of Virginia Beach.
Outside of work, Manny lived life with curiosity and enthusiasm. In addition to being an avid fisherman, he enjoyed hunting, building and flying RC airplanes, autocross racing, riding minibikes, playing his saxophone and listening to jazz music.
Manny will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his many talents, and the love he gave so freely to his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of dedication, craftsmanship, and quiet joy that will not be forgotten.
No formal services held; family and friends are encouraged to remember Manny in their own way and in the moments that mattered most to them.
